Me-Mover's Kickstarter process – Preparation
Me-Mover’s Kickstarter process – Preparation
Our entire team has been preparing for our upcoming Kickstarter campaign. We’ve had several people doing analysis, risk management and overall been in constant Kickstarter state of mind for the past several weeks.
Now we want to show you how far we’ve come.
(In case you’re not familiar with Kickstarter, you can read this guide we’ve put together.)
Over the next few weeks, we’re going to give you an inside look at our Kickstarter process and what we’re doing to promote the Me-Mover. Today, we had our social media manager, Morten, write a few words about our initial plan and preparation process. So without further ado:
I’m in charge of Me-Mover’s social media platforms and I’m currently working on the Kickstarter campaign.
To start things up, analyzing the Kickstarter market was a necessity. I went through hundreds of first-person stories regarding their own Kickstarter experience and outlined similarities that possibly could be used to Me-Mover’s own strategy. I then took a close look at several active Kickstarter projects that promoted innovation and exercise, since these categories have common traits to the Me-Mover.
In researching the process, one of the most consistent traits I discovered about the preparing for a month of crowd funding was the notion that the company would need to devote its primary attention towards the campaign while it’s active. The term “Live, breath and sleep Kickstarter” was a frequent one. Because of that, we’ve set up communication plans for the entirety of the project’s time table, in hopes of maximizing our efforts.
Thank you for your support, we look forward to seeing you on Kickstarter!
